April 2008 will mark the 3-year birthday of the FM3 Buddha Machine!
Expect a second-generation Buddha Machine featuring all-new music and a snazzy new colour-scheme shipping 08 April! We should have some demo models of the new machines for our set at South By Southwest this March in Austin, Texas.
Meantime, enjoy a nice article in the Chinese FHM about the FM3 Marshall Plan, our live set which we toured all last year.

Download a hi-res scan of the FHM FM3 Marshall Plan feature.

FM3 currently in Austria for the last few shows of our 2007 tour season. Above photo is Zhang Jian playing the opener of our “Marshall Plan” set at the wonderful Popfakes festival in Linz last weekend.
Very happy to be described as the “loudest” band at the festival! And thanks to all the Buddha Machine fans who turned up for a night of heavy dronerock theatrics.
Our friend Marc Weidenbaum has a few Buddha Machine-related news items on his Disquiet blog.
First off is the band Royal Trans and their Buddha Machine-inspired release “In an Expression of Form: The FM3 Experiments album.”
You can find the Royal Trans album as a free download here.
Also, Disquiet has an item about Penn State professor Michael Jarrett and his sonic riff on Henry David Thoreau’s “Walden Pond.” Its mostly based around music by the Australian trio The Necks. But Jarrett gives a nice mention to the Buddha Machine, comparing our drones to the sound made by Vancouver’s automated mass-transit SkyTrain.

Goth Buddha Boxing at Berg211 in Gothenburg, Sweden 07 September.

Also a short Marshall Plan set featuring Andreas Werliin from Wildbrirds & Peacedrums! Video of the last 3 minutes below. Seems Zhang and I had a bit too much cheap box wine…
Video from our performance at the Malmofestivalen on 23 august 2007.
A nice mix of Super8 footage and FM3 field recordings by our friend Sean at Golden Flower Films.
Music taken from our 2005 Streets of Lhasa release on Sublime Frequencies.
